Filled-in cells over total rows.
Every new starter must record an emergency contact. In B11 give the share of starters who have one recorded, counting filled-in contacts against names on the list.
Solve it on your own to keep the bonus. Each hint gets one step closer to the formula.
The same formula in the other shapes it takes at work.
This is the grid you start with. Cell references in the task — B6, C2 — point at the row numbers and column letters below.
| A | B | |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Starter | Emergency contact |
| 2 | Farah | Ali (brother) |
| 3 | Gus | |
| 4 | Hanne | Ola (partner) |
| 5 | Ivo | Mum |
| 6 | Jun | |
| 7 | Kaya | Dev (friend) |
| 8 | Lior | Sara |
| 9 | Mina | |
| 10 | ||
| 11 | Completion rate |
The same function counts both the top and the bottom of the fraction; only the column changes. Counting names rather than typing 8 means a new starter added to the list lowers the rate until their contact is in — which is the point of tracking it.
