Not equal to: the comparison a reconciliation is built on.
You counted the shelves and the stock system has its own figures. In D2:D7 return TRUE for every line where the count and the system disagree, so you know which ones to recount.
Solve it on your own to keep the bonus. Each hint gets one step closer to the formula.
The same formula in the other shapes it takes at work.
This is the grid you start with. Cell references in the task — B6, C2 — point at the row numbers and column letters below.
| A | B | C | D | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Item | System | Counted | Mismatch? |
| 2 | Hinges | 240 | 240 | |
| 3 | Brackets | 115 | 112 | |
| 4 | Wall plugs | 800 | 800 | |
| 5 | Screws | 1500 | 1480 | |
| 6 | Washers | 600 | 600 | |
| 7 | Nuts | 950 | 965 |
Subtracting the two columns tells you by how much they differ, but a TRUE/FALSE column is what you filter on to get the recount list. <> is the comparison for that: it asks the yes-or-no question directly.
