Solve it on your own to keep the bonus. Each hint gets one step closer to the formula.
The same formula in the other shapes it takes at work.
This is the grid you start with. Cell references in the task — B6, C2 — point at the row numbers and column letters below.
| A | B | C | |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Date | Day | Rate |
| 2 | 3 Mar | Friday | |
| 3 | 4 Mar | Saturday | |
| 4 | 5 Mar | Sunday | |
| 5 | 6 Mar | Monday | |
| 6 | 10 Mar | Friday | |
| 7 | 11 Mar | Saturday |
The most common OR mistake is OR(B2="Saturday","Sunday"): the second argument is just the word Sunday, not a test of B2, and the formula falls over. Every condition in OR is a full comparison, even when they all look at the same cell.
