Ready only when every box is ticked.
A new starter can be given a desk once IT, HR and Facilities have each signed off. In E2:E6 show Ready when all three columns say Yes, otherwise Waiting.
Solve it on your own to keep the bonus. Each hint gets one step closer to the formula.
The same formula in the other shapes it takes at work.
This is the grid you start with. Cell references in the task — B6, C2 — point at the row numbers and column letters below.
| A | B | C | D | E | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Starter | IT | HR | Facilities | Status |
| 2 | N. Okafor | Yes | Yes | Yes | |
| 3 | P. Silva | Yes | No | Yes | |
| 4 | Q. Larsen | No | No | No | |
| 5 | R. Haddad | Yes | Yes | No | |
| 6 | S. Moreau | Yes | Yes | Yes |
One No anywhere is enough to keep someone waiting, which is exactly how AND behaves: it is TRUE only if nothing inside it is FALSE. Adding a fourth sign-off later means adding one more condition, not another layer of IF.
